It has been a long two days since my video conference on Monday night. I met with my site mentor on Tuesday to hammer out an action research project. I was thinking about topics that would interest me. I am now administering a new workplace readiness test for all students at my school. I see that our students' reading capabilities are really holding them back from passing the exam. I wanted to research something correlating reading SOL scores with the passing rate of the exam. However, I am Ed Tech so I could not use that idea because it doesn't incorporate technology. I have now changed my action research project to "How my school will be affected by changing to a new School Information System at the beginning of the year." I got lucky since there is a meeting all day Friday discussing the transition process. Good thing I did not wait until Friday to meet my site mentor.
